Canon Christopher Pratt joined the parish as our rector September 1st, 2004. Christopher is married to Carolyn and they have two adult children.

Assistant Priest, Canon Sonjie Pearson, is a recently retired priest of the Diocese of Toronto, who is licenced by the Bishop of Huron to provide occasional assistance to the Archdeacon of Waterloo. Sonjie joined our parish in December of 2003 to facilitate and to direct the ministries of our Parish Visitors and Health Council, and to support our rector’s liturgical and pastoral ministries.

Pastor George Strack was born in Kitchener and served in various positions around the country. Following retirement in 1996, George returned to Kitchener and joined St Peter’s Church where he also became interim pastor of St James Wilmot, Reformation Church Kitchener and St. James New Dundee. In 2003 he was invited to serve St John’s as an interim priest.

Reverend Paul Kett took early retirement in 2006 and, with his wife Kathleen, relocated to Waterloo, joining St.John’s as Assistant Priest in 2007. Paul and Kathleen have two sons, Matt and James.

Marlin Nagtegaal is married to Susan with one son. Marlin joined the parish as organist and choir director in 1988.

Elsie Millerd is an experienced registered nurse with specialized knowledge in parish nursing and Christian studies who is called to promote health, healing and wholeness at St. John’s. She became our parish nurse in October, 2006.
