Memorials

When preparing a Last Will and Testament, please consider making a bequest to the St. John’s Endowment Fund, for the purposes of developing the church’s ministry. Donations to the St. John’s Memorial Fund may be suggested in lieu of flowers and funeral tributes. Flowers may be placed in the sanctuary on a particular Sunday, in remembrance of loved ones. Please contact the office at 743-0228, or by email to arrange for this.

Canadian artist, Raymond Dugan, a parishioner, has embroidered a life-size replica of the medieval Bayeux Tapestry, a 200-foot-long needlework depiction of the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy. Eight years into it, Dugan’s two adult sons were accidentally killed. Ray subsequently completed his tapestry and the finished piece is dedicated to their memory. He inscribed the margin of his narrative the date of his two sons’ death. DEI: lX: M: APRILIS: A: S: MCMXClll.
