Canada’s musical history is intertwined with its political and religious history. Christmas music from the time of the pioneers will be presented alongside contemporary offerings. The main work will be Messe pour minuit de Noel by Marc Antoine Charpentier, a mass based on French noels. This work would have been popular during the 17th century when Canada was being settled by people like Samuel Champlain.  For more information visit www.renaissancesingers.ca
